Strong, long and a good head player. Adebayor scored 11 goals in the African Zone qualifiers for Tongo. No other African has scored so many goals in one qualifier round. Emmanuel Adebayor made his debut as a 17-year old, for FC Metz in the French Ligue and went on to AS Monaco where he collected a Champions League runner-up medal in 2004. Emmanuel with the nickname Sheyi, has Nigerian descent. His parents come from the south-west of Nigeria, the Osun State. His Arsenal debut in the Premiership match at Birmingham City went very well - he scored in the 21st minute and Arsenal won the match, 2-0.
